United Airlines Hangars Structural Renovations

Project Description

Matrix demolished existing mechanical rooftop systems (130 tons of metal debris) and 120,000 S.F. of structural steel decking from hangar buildings up to 120’ high to allow for structural improvements on the structures. This project required 100% tieoff with fall protection at extreme heights working over hangars containing fragile tools, equipment and spare jet engines valued over $25 Million.
